I think it would be very user friendly if the messages that people write appear above their heads, so one does not have to break eye contact with the enemy when they are saying something. Also a sound effect will make sure noone misses anything in the chat.

This is possible using @Motto73's Speech Bubbles script. Subscribe to the script on the Steam Workshop, then activate it from in-game by writing "/startscript speech" into the chatbox (without the quotation marks). This only works if you're a game host or have Moderator permissions on the server.
