need a good screen recorder (free)

Hey , Fellow Mighty Superfighters , I need someone to guide me to a good screen recorder that doesn't cause lag when playing sfd , I Have Bandicam at the moment , but it lags when i try to record the gameplay .

That is a good question.

I use ScreenToGif. It makes the video directly to gif, but it really lags in big videos. But its great when you need to record only a small piece of the screen, like a Fellow Mighty Superfighter.

Bandicam is actually really good software, and has very little impact on in-game framerate. I used it to record 1080p 60fps videos and they all looked great. If THAT screws with your framerate you won't be able to record anything at decent FPS. Game lagging with Bandicam pretty much means it will lag with anything.

My advice is to grab a crack for the Pro version from one of the various torrent sites available, then use the settings below to achieve decent video quality and file weight.

Here's the video I referenced when setting my copy up. Speaking of pirated software, Dxtory is what most professional YT gameplayers use to record their videos. It's not free but I hear it does the job very well. You could also look into that.

It's easy to use but compared to other screen-recording software it has a massive impact on game FPS. If his game lags with Bandicam his game will be nigh on unplayable using Fraps. Plus the full version needs to be paid for.

I forgot to mention you could also use Shadowplay to record games if you've got an NVIDIA graphics card. It's free and comes with the companion application for NVIDIA GPUs, GeForce Experience. Download it and see whether your graphics card is compatible with Shadowplay or not.
