idk that's pretty common when you can level yourself with the ends of a platform and walk into them (easiest done at storage) and stops grenades as well so i'd guess it's by design but hey i'm bad don't listen to me

Pretty much by design, or we will just leave it as it is. If you collide against a platform or not depends primarily on your incoming angle and a bunch of other small factors. The box2D engine is excellent to simulate physics but a pain in the ass when trying to create a character with "gamy rules".
