In sometimes when a player is fighting with another player, one of them manages to block fast after attack. There was a version (I think it was SFD 1.2.0c) where you could block fast with machete, baton, pipe... but the updates passed and that was removed from the game. I wonder, if that fast block was eliminated, for a better balance? So why can you still do that? When you have 200 ping, the hoster can block fast your attacks when you are blocking his attacks, I think 200 ping gives attack delay. Even sometimes in better ping, I have seen players who are losing the fight against someone and when the losing player manages to block at least one attack, the enemy even manages to block fast his attack... I think it is unfair and this also seems like some bug type because it only happens rarely... What do you think about it?

Ping will always be unfair, no matter what. We just have to deal with that. In fact, ping is more unfair now, at let me explain why.

I don't think its unfair. And it's not really random, some players can do it consistently with a little concentration. In fact i have lost some matches against a player with ~50 ping vs my ~24 ping, because he could block my counter-punches. Ok, so maybe it's a little unfair, but it leaves the attacker in a bad situation when they eventually use patterns. Just press grab when you block their punch, don't punch back. Back in beta 1.02c i used to press kick, because its safer.
Besides, pressing a+a+quick block, is a noob way of blocking counters, melee has been nerfed a lot already, just imagine before players would press a+a+roll->up+block, by simply starting the roll before the second punch finished the animation. Although the 2nd punch still hit the victims block, jumping out of a roll with block made you invulnerable to any attack response. Jumping up also didn't leave you open to a potensial counter-grab. Now playing in melee like this wasn't so ping-dependend either, in fact high ping players could do this too, if they just adjusted to the delay. Before the game would even give benefits players with high ping, like the punch-roll move described above, or the infamous 4-hit combo. Thanks to the new changes in melee, all these moves have disappered, leaving laggers at a bigger disadvantage then before.

No, melee changes didn't give a better balance. It just made melee more stiff, or more cheap.

I don't think it's a bug either, sometimes the hard bots might be able to do it, but we all know that they cheat in melee. I think your .gif was recorded in offline mode? Then i don't understand why you would want to remove it either, if it gives you a advantage in melee? It may be "by design". Don't fix it in my opinion, please don't ruin melee any more.
