I was wondering how was the process of the devs making the levels in the game since they look polished and very balanced. Also i hope reading those documents teachs me a little more about what makes a good map in this game and what i should avoid doing for that.

If this is referring to the Official maps, then this is the best joke I've heard.
The Official maps are not balanced at all.
There are numerous complaints on the entire forum. Like this

Designing good maps for good gun and melee gameplay is hard. Some tips:
*Not huge open areas (can't approach)
*No too enclosed areas (infinity combos)
*No camp spots (just use anti camp script)
*Less moving platforms/elevators or alternative ways to reach spots
*Medium size maps (Not castle courtyard)
*Minimal deathpits
