a theory for sfd?

this topic should be for discussing theory for sfd story and such
so i have a question : have anyone have any possible theory for sunny city hero :super fighter
or anything else in the sfd universe for that matter, like who's the funnyman from the original super fighter game
why do we have to fight him who are we as the player in the universe?, why are we fighting? , why in sunny city?, who's johnny(the original super fighter heroes or atleast the first character to appear)

yea I do that a theory *or really just a story type thing I made up based on the sfd stuff so far*

basically the government figured out how to genetically modify people to fight better (Superfighters) and are attempting to use them for military proposes (Hence the tutorial being in the army)

and of course criminal gangs want in on this so they manage to get their hands on genetically modifying stuff too (or genetically modified people in general) then they basically send them/kidnap them into a modern day gladiator HOSTED BY THE FUNNYMAN!!!!
But getting your hands on genetically modified people isn't exactly easy so its a BIG business (meaning the funnyman isn't the big bad Boss-man behind it all) which is also why their are those crazy awesome special forces guys with cool black armor, guns, and shock batons.


Why Sunny City? well because either its the first place and Capital of the modern day gladiators or because its the only place where Gangs have been able to get their hands on "Superfighters" and successfully have an entire underground show of them fighting to the death.

why are we fighting? probably because either
A. gangs wanna get us because were probably notorious for whooping people and they want a piece of it
B. were trying to stop the underground human trafficking of Superfighters going on
C. the gang want us "back" to go into their tv show thing
D. the government cant let us go into public being genetically enhanced and all
E. a zombie gotta do what a zombie gotta do
F.(it really depends on the story because all the tier challenges seem to have their own thing to them)


[This is the backstory I made up assuming the original game doesn't count]
in the first original Superfighters game I just assumed johnny and his crew (Jeff, Boris, etc) were fighting the funnyman and his agents. assuming they were genetically modified too I guess they could've either been sent undercover by the government to stop the funnyman's gang stuff or they escaped the Superfighter human trafficking thing going on and are trying to defeat the funnyman to stop it all.

that is actually a rather interesting theory since we do see a lot of sign goverment is somehow related to this as some of the map are in a place we normally wouldnt be able to go to unless we're hunting someone down(in this case the other potentially failed expirament which is the other player and us fighting) but then again it's just based on we got acesses to certain we should'nt althought i am interested to see those theory and how it would add up to the game campaign

althought i am still curious about who is johnny (Because of the line in the zombie nightmare played by one of the crime lord bosses) assuming this we're probably suppose to belive that johnny is the true heroes or atleast Was the true heroes and we're following his path to re take sunny city and hunt down every other that stand againts it, maybe we're like subject of johnny or something , and it make me wonder if johnny is dead in universe or if he is still alive but then we can alway hopefully find answer in camapaign(But dev made sure that it would raise more question as well) so better hope that some of our theory is right

I don't think there's enough in SFD to really make theories, the posters in the game as of now just look like movie references not theory fodder, I think that theorizing might really kick off once the game is out with the stage mode, until then this "theory" thread won't see much action

Just wait for the release then start making theories or dedicate a section of the forum to them

I agree. I actually have a theory that I have been meaning to say for some time now, however I cant think of a way of doing so without spoiling some of the campaign. Can't wait for it to come out so I can finally be more open about it.
