Well, you can do that if you move to another place or literally get an internet with faster download and upload.

If you have fps problem, try to make less open slots, if you have ping problem, you should buy faster internet.

We need to clarify that game lag depends from two factors:
- If we talk about performance issues (bad fps) then we have hardware issues and so it depends on the PC.
- Whereas, If we talk about internet related issues they are in turn split in two factors:
- Modem/Router bottlenecks: the machine that provides you internet access cannot handle your internet bandwidth entirely due for poor performance of these latter machines.
- ISP related: your internet subscription is not supposed to be used for intense upload (since in common ADSL subscriptions, the upload is barely sufficient even for surfing the internet).
Since he specified the type of lag I presume he asked for improving internet performance then we need to ask "is he using a Wi-Fi connection?", "is his internet speed supposed to be more than what he currently get by running a speed test?".
