They are immaterial entities/objects and therefor doesn't trigger mines when they get close. Similar to how other objects doesn't trigger mines when pushed on top of mines. Only players trigger mines as of now. If you have other reasonings why drones should trigger mines and why and why it's a good change please post that in the suggestion topic.
