Is it really a bug though?
It kinda makes sense for the enemy to use you as a meat shield against your friend; he's expected to hit you by accident when he swings at them. That's the whole point of using a meat shield.

By design. When you're grabbed your teammates can hurt you in melee.

Is there a time limit for grabbing a player?

As you can see in the video, roughly 2 seconds. (unlimited for dead bodies).
