Hide HUD and indicators

Post by Cabo_Fiambre » Sun Oct 06, 2019 11:46 pm

As the title says, is there a way to hide the whole HUD, the ping and fps indicators and also avoid getting the grey screen when killed? I ask this for filming purposes because i don't want to have those distracting thins on screen and just focus on the game.

There's a 'Toggle GUI' hotkey which I believe is bound to F9 by default but is F11 for me. It disables the health and stamina / weapon slots HUD / chat for all local players. The HUD above your head will still display, as will the FPS counter.

You can hide the FPS counter and PING counter by changing the correct parameters in the config.ini settings (If I recall correctly).

How does one open "config.ini"? Would that require an external program?

You can open it using windows notepad.

EDIT: Edited the config.ini and configured a key for hiding the HUD and it works very well!

If someone is interested and wants to record SFD without having those things on screen here is what you have to do:

1- Go to the SFD folder located in your documents and find a file called "config".
2- Locate this parameters and modify them as they appear in the image:

3- Save the file (you can make a backup of the original one before you edit if you want).
4- Launch the game and go to "Settings".
5- Go to "Controls", "Key Bindings" and go to the bottom, there you will find a key that is called "Toggle GUI", put a key of choice (F9 is default).

If you followed the steps correctly you should have a clean screen now.
