Can't connect to friend's game.

Post by Clickenchicken » Thu Nov 16, 2017 1:21 am

I'm relatively new to these forums, so if this is the wrong place to post this, my apologies; I just saw "Tech Support" and thought that sounded right.
So, my problem is that when I host a game my friend can't join it, I got it working once, but never again. It's a private game, so we use the "Connect to IP" option, which has been used for other games we've played together. We just type in the IPv4 address of the computer in and hit connect, it normally works with every other game, and it worked once here, too, but never again. I'm thinking it has something to do with the ports, it always says 'Port forwarding failed', I'm not entirely sure how to get it working properly, so I disabled automatic port forwarding in the options. And, like I've said, twice, I got it working once, so I must've done something right.

I appreciate any replies. Thank you!

We actually got it working, I think it's due to my poor internet. We kept the ports at default, and just tried again and again to connect and eventually it worked. So, as I said, I think the problem lies with my internet, not your awesome game! I read a few posts about port forwarding and such, mainly the detailed guide written by KlipeH, that discussed a lot of complicated things, or complicated to me, at least, because I'm not at all tech savvy.

Thank you for they reply, Gurt, and thank you even more for making these incredible games!
