A suggestion to say that maybe there can be fighting styles added to the game that have certain pros and cons for example Taekwondo:Faster kick recovery, but slower punch speeds another example is Muy Thai:Longer Grapple time and faster attacks, but energy is used up quicker
There can maybe be special attacks with whatever style you pick such as Boxing having a strong uppercut or Jujitsu with a ground combo move
The styles will be in the character customization menu and the Default will say SFD Classic aka the normal style used and selecting the menu with show you a drop down list of styles hovering over the styles will reveal the pros and cons as well as a description
Some challenges could unlock new styles Example: Challenge name- Dojo Debacle Desc: you fight Karate students and then fight a boss known as the Dojo master after beating the challenge you unlock the Karate style
Not needed but stances could be included with the fighting styles

I don't know Man, personally i'm not too fond of this idea, i would never choose a fight style that drains my stamina even faster then the current one today. Stances would be a cool thing, however i don't believe the developers are ever going to consider changing the melee system to such a technical level. Judging at how bare-bones and stiff the new steam melee system is. This is never going to become Mortal Kombat. Maybe there exists some scripts for this.
The challenge concept sounds interesting. It reminds me of Bruce Lee's karate dojo battle in "Fists of Fury" (1972): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1t9ShjZnSxE . But maybe we will be able to unlock a new cosmetic like karate belt or Samurai armor.

I kind of feel like theres already kind of different fighting styles in the game, some people use the kick kind of a lot and fight in a way that kind of sends you flying, some people primarily throw things jumping around, and others just straight up hunt u down and keep it close quarters forcing you to melee. I feel like it would be more helpful is someone just wrote down all these tactics (is there already an article like that somewhere if so id like the link) and then we can all learn how to both use and adapt to each way of fighting.

The game is already extraordinarily complex, almost to an extraordinary deficit. This is deterring new players from playing the game. I showed a friend of mine at my college dorm this game. I set him with an easy bot and told him the basic controls, but he had been playing incredibly awkward. I then referred him to the tutorial in order to grasp a better understanding of the game, and he had been extraordinarily confused with the tutorial also. There is so much to the game, that I had to walk someone through the tutorial. Think about that for a second. If he had not had me there, he would have been there fiddling with the controls for a very long time, just to barley make it through the tutorial.
Moral of the story, you need a very high IQ to play this game
Anyways, i was planning on making a separate post in suggestions regarding this issue, however I have not gotten around to it. College has been very busy.
