what if someday me or you need to quickly type something onto the forum but the dev said its a bad idea?
it probably is a bad suggestion to begin with but i am quite curious if it would work or not

I don't want to sound anal but the forum isn't exactly a platform onto which you "type something quickly". You formulate your threads properly and think things through, just like I did to dig up all those links you're about to see. I have already scolded members for thinking the same way in the past; if you need a quick and easy way to communicate with other forum members use the Discord server or join the public Superfighters Deluxe Steam group.
The forum did have its own chat (mChat) for a short period of time a few months ago but that feature has since been disabled. I suppose it was too difficult/distracting to manage and/or moderate? Not entirely sure what the official reasoning for disabling it was but I personally thought it was a cool feature. Maybe we can get more input on that from @Gurt.

An alternative can also be Private messaging. In order to get notified you can connect your email to a gmail account and will get notified accordingly.
