Introducing the female character

This will not be a small suggestion.

People. I've seen the game icon to be slightly ironic because there are no female characters in the game.

My suggestion is that if possible, to be the female character implemented. There are actual girls out there that play this game,
Not some sweaty trolling teens trying to gather attention.
And in the name of those i suggest to whoever can come with a female model to help this type of developement.
And it would be rather nice to have a slik and nice looking female character as a player option.

So it may be the same size as the basic character as long as the head is a little smaller or something
Perhaps changing it a little bit to be able to wear all the other clothing accessories as well.

I do not think it's trully necessary, regarding the fact that most people would not care of what gender you are, and they should not.

I am not trying to be rude, although your ideea takes alot of developement and changes of the game, you drew quite a cute character over there and props to you for that.

Female character models in sfd is something of a stretch goal for us right now but priorities can change. Maybe we need female characters for future campaigns but we'll see.

Don't sell your idea short, it's a good one. Female characters have long been a stretchgoal. At first I didn't think it mattered, but now that we're thinking more and more about story campaigns with actual characters in them, the total lack of women is becoming increasingly silly.

The trouble is that it's a lot of work, because to do it properly I have to redo all the animations, and pretty much all customization item sprite-sheets have to be duplicated for the female bodies.

If we do add female fighters to the game, we'll probably add some traditional female clothing like dresses (available to both sexes of course). Physically the female fighters won't be that different from the men, just a little slimmer and curvier. Any form of hair will be just as rare for these warrior women as for the men, so basically Alien 3 Ripley will be the default look. (The model for the male fighters is obviously Steve McQueen <- notice the flat head)

I don't think your post is silly, it's always interesting to see strong female characters that can fight too (The Bride in Kill Bill, Ripley from Alien, Furiosa in Mad Max, Rey in Star Wars, Jessica Jones, etc).

I support the idea as much as I liked the model you did. I thought there would be no possibility of female characters in the game, but your topic and your model made me think differently, in addition to the examples cited by Splinter. And I also liked the hair, if women are made with hair in the game believe it would be pretty cool, but if they decide to do as Hjarpe said, it will stay cool anyway.

By not adding women, your game will probably get labelled as sexist by SJW groups and you'll catch a LOT of flak + hatemail. It'll get pretty serious.

Just in case you're being serious here: this is FAR from being a problem. If you fall for a cutsie fucking female sprite in a bloody videogame you're a desperate teenager who deserves to lose because of your ignorance. We shouldn't be considering the fools who are willing to trash their round for a person pretending to be a chick so they'll have a chance to get something out of the encounter.
