Just a simple thing, but now that C4 is out I thought it would be more relevant. Currently, the baseball bat has a special property that allows it to launch Grenades and C4 a large distance when it hits them. This allows crafty players to send explosives across the map to hit unsuspecting players. It used to be that only the grenades could make this distance, but now the C4 can as well. Why not mines?
As a side note, the hitbox for mines doesn't allow them to be hit very easily after they're armed. It seems they're set up so that they can't be hit after they stop flashing. Is this an issue, as in they shouldn't at all or always should? You could make them detonate when someone hits them with a melee weapon, maybe.

Have you ever tried hitting a big flat thing with a baseball bat? It doesn't go very far, bats work best with smaller roundish objects that are also fairly light (which mines aren't). I would say some types of debris should be able to get launched.
