If this is true, this could relate back to the "Dangerous Individuals" Poster.
A theory I have is that the 5 characters in the original SF,(Johnny, Jeff, Billy, Mac and Boris) Are the good guys, Agent and Scott are MetroLaw officials, and FunnyMan is just a tv show host of a fighting ring.
Now to the appearances of these characters.
We've seen what looks like Agent and Scott together at the end of Prime Time in Sunny City.
We see Funnyman in The Pit.
We see Johnny and Jeff in Escape from Precinct 9
And this may or may not be Billy and Boris in the tutorial, because they both have on Military clothes, This may be them training or first starting in the military.
That brings me to my next theory. The current timeline of SFD could be the timeline of the original SF or not. Superfighters have been around since 1943, so that means they could have been in a number of political events.
Could this cast of the original SF be evolved now, or our we living in the same timeline? idk.

I agree @Shock, i also think that he is the background guy. I also have this theory that Agent is the one that runs Metrocorp.

Putting my two cents in... Who are the two guys at the beginning of Escape from Precint 9 (Not realy a spoiler since it's the beginning and they're unimportant), asking for a phone call? I think they look like the Boondock Saints (Which is a nice reference btw) but they could be another reference... I dunno.

Also when are we going to get Balista's afro? If it's a Tier 3 challenge I'm probably gonna shoot myself. I want my disco fighter already!

Yea, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case @GreenyShark. A lot of the campaign seems to have been planned extensively. I think Hjarpe is sitting on a lot of story right now. I remember seeing some kind of story board or planning for characters/design elements in the game on the website a while back. Also, the streetsweeper design has been in the game for a very long time. Seems like you've gotten the characters down. It's nice to see them make cameos in the campaign.
