Actually, PlayOnLinux is really easier, but SFD needs framework and other stuff... Wine is better to install games who are in .exe files, like Assault Cube. You know, Wine is for emulating Windows programs.

Damn, what a mess. You never used a forum before, have you? I'd help you but your links can't even be used for their intended purpose, and I ain't willing to unfuck all of that up.

Tip #1: NEVER submit a post/thread without previewing it and proofreading it first. That's the only way to prevent a mistake before you make it.

Tip #2: Dropbox links don't work well with image previews. Use a different image hosting website such as Imgur.

Tip #3: Strongly consider looking into the way BB tags work; the last tag always has to contain a forward slash (/). Here are a few common examples:

Code: Select all

bold text
red text
large text

Google
Looking forward to seeing your thread better formatted ASAP. Good luck.

I made an announce topic out of this one so it's always visible in the tech forum.
I will need a few confirmations from some Linux users that they got this working before linking to this post from other pages.

Men I'd really love to play on Linux :( I tried your script but I got an "Access denied" error. I'm on Debian Jessie. Any idea on how to get it working? I currently found this on the PlayOnLinux command line...

09/26/16 21:41:03 - [POL_Call] Message: ----- Ending function POL_Install_directx9 -----
09/26/16 21:41:06 - [POL_System_CheckFS] Message: Checking filesystem for SFD%20Setup%20PreAlpha%201.9.1_.exe
09/26/16 21:41:06 - [POL_Wine] Message: Running wine- start /unix SFD%20Setup%20PreAlpha%201.9.1_.exe (Working directory : /home/juansero29)
Application could not be started, or no application associated with the specified file.
ShellExecuteEx failed: Success.
09/26/16 21:41:15 - [POL_Wine] Error: Wine seems to have crashed\n\nIf your program is running, just ignore this message

Seems a problem with Wine(?) Even though I have installed it...

Just aaahhh.. Hold on... But so sorry for the late reply! I'll get the new one running... And its a script too! But if you want you can try it here!
http://termbin.com/1re4 http://termbin.com/eh8m
Just save this as SFDUbuntu.sh
Go to the terminal... and run it as: sudo bash SFDUbuntu.sh!

Added in 33 seconds:
And of course in the right directory!
I used this script and it seems to run OK in the terminal... but after it runs, what's next? I mean... everything goes ok but after that I still can't see anything installed :( Please help...
