player resets to new player upon opening sfd

there's no way for me to force my fighter to retain their outfit and name every time i close and re-open sfd as of 1.10.0. running the game as an administrator doesn't solve the problem either

We have not modified the player profile code since the gender was introduced. Hjarpe has only added new customization items.
Do you select a certain clothing item when this happens?

i wear the same thing as i did in the previous update but now every time the game is opened i'm new player. administrative privileges cannot fix the issue either
EDIT: a very brief message in yellow flashes when i open up the game before being introduced to new player in all their glory

Fixed after Pre-Alpha 1.10.0.
It was a stupid bug causing all profiles saved in Pre-Alpha 1.10.0 to not be read properly due to some faulty version string comparison checks. Worked just great before we introduced the "10" in the version number

You can bypass this by opening the profile.sfdp file in Notepad++ for example and change "Pre-Alpha v.1.10.0" to "Pre-Alpha v.1.9.4" after saving a profile.
