Detail your maps, damn it.
They look flat af.

The "Dev 4-1(4-6 player map)" map doesn't have enough cover for a fair game.
The only place where I see you could survive, is at the bottom.
And the weapon spawns are fucking terrible.
It's pretty much a "choke" type of a map. There's no other way to get around without getting shot.
Put up your game.

I like these maps.

They differ from the mainstream of the maps with their looks and layouts.

They are flat, that's true. But I can't see it as a problem. Different layouts force you to change your strategy instead of using always melee v1.4 fix and beings a dull ""melle pro."" If the map doesn't have enough cover you have to use dodging, rolling, diving and jumping more creatively.

What do you mean with with "fair game"? Everyone has got equal chance to spawn in every spot. What makes you think that the weapon spawns are terrible? They are in the most dangerous spot. You have to risk yourself to get them, and that's but a problem if you're not a camper. In my opinion everything that makes it harder to camp is a good add.

How about shooting them first? Don't blame the game, blame the players.

These maps have a lot of straight lines which is visually very nice. The lack of background is not. Sometimes it's the background that makes the map. But it has nothing to do with gameplay.

The dangerous Dave is a great map. Intensive surviving makes you forget the whole bg. It's challenging and rewarding. It's true that the magnums are strangely positioned tho.

Dev is nice change to normal large maps. The idea of having weapon spawns in the most dangerous spot is a good idea. Contra is also nice with the breaking bridges.

Overall these maps are very nice and fresh. The bg is something that might improve these further.

Im sure you haven't played enough to understand how the dodging system works.
You roll once, dodge some bullets n' stuff, after you're done rolling you are really vulnerable to bullets again.
And since nobody shoots someone who is rolling/diving in plain sight, it's a terribly bad idea to do so.
Also when you jump, the amount that you will dodge will be less than rolling, just don't even try to.
So I dissagree with almost everything you said.

My idea was that you could push more with, more cover ahead of you by not losing alot of your health.
It's not a 1v1 where 1 guy is shooting at you, there are more than 1, that has a gun.

You are talking about the random ass weapon spawns?
no.

" The idea of having weapon spawns in the most dangerous spot is a good idea. "
If you are looking it at a fair gameplay statistic, it is more than unfair.

In my opinion, backgrounds make everything better. It just looks ugly af. Definitely not the maps that I would play.

And other little things I would want to argue about aren't as important so I won't start it.

First of all this topic is open to your *Open Mind* opinions and not unnecessary bashing(Creeper).
If you don't like it, don't play it. It's this simple.

If I were to expand my opinion on my maps,
These maps are playable with different rules as per them and follow a different criteria than Official maps (one of the reason they're custom maps) .
Different modes allow player to expand it's view in gaming, that's why many mods were introduced as we can see now (like wizards and Dbz).

And I won't make MY maps based on someone's else opinion if they were to hate/like it.

Secondly, I will take background improvement as an advice and will take improvements in my other maps.

P.S.: Give me more opinions guys, but with an open mind.
P.S.S.: More maps incoming!!

It you don't change with the changing world, you're closing yourself away in a closed box.
