[SOLVED] I Can't Host Properly

Post by sm3 » Fri Nov 03, 2017 6:37 pm

Terribly sorry if the title of this topic's a bit confusing, but I can't seem to host.

To explain, before the Zombie Nightmare update I could host my server and use the "start server" option in the launcher just fine, but now when I start the server the game gets stuck on this screen;

"Start Fight" does nothing, and "Exit To Menu" makes the game freeze. I've tried force updating the game and restarting my computer multiple times, but nothing seems to be working. Anyone got any idea what could be causing the problem?

My port forwarding failed after this update.

"kinda unrelated to his subject"

Sorry, too late to delete bud.

Also, maybe it's just the update since I've noticed I can't even join servers I previously was able to join before beta.

Your post is kinda unrelated to his subject. Create a topic yourself stating your problem.

This seemed like PC issue, it's probably not loading the new features well.
Try to reduce the graphics and set the game as 'Real-Timed' in Task Manager, it will probably solve,
Is this only for hosting or you're having problem when joining games too?

Kill any remaining SFD process manually from the task manager or restart your computer and try again. Restarting the game might also help.

Your issues are entirely unrelated to this one. The issue here is that the game will physically not start after pressing the "Fight!" button, and that exiting to the main menu freezes the game; your issues are with the port forwarding itself. Please create a separate thread for your own problems and don't post on others'. These posts are considered off-topic.

None of these solutions worked but suddenly the issue worked itself out, and it stayed that way for months now, but it's suddenly resurfaced, any ideas?

EDIT: After about 10 seconds of it being stuck on the screen on my first post, it starts printing the message Client: Server not responding every second. Maybe that's part of the problem?

Well I feel like an idiot.
Turns out the hosting problems were because I had over 256 scripts.

I am so sorry for wasting your time.
