Re: THE NEW IDEA ABOUT MOUSE!

SFD will not have mouse control to aim purely from a design-perspective. This has been a design choice since we begun working on SFD.

Re: 4 Player Local?

Here's a clarification: SFD will support local multiplayer. Up to 2 local players will be able to play online and create online games. Up to 8 local players can play offline on the same computer (if you can configure it and have the right types of controllers). There are some quirks in order to get ...

Re: Error: Loading information '' in failed.

Sad news is that Mechadernum is just a binary file full of empty bytes. Nothing to load here. Under Construction is partially damaged. It can be partially restored in the release version of SFD. The current version will just show an internal error message "Loading information '' in failed." or simil...

We're preparing the game for the steam beta period. Current goal is to begin the steam beta at the end of this month. It looks like we might be able to pull that off! It depends on what we prioritize for the beta period. I recently looked up what it would take to integrate the game into Steam Worksh...

Re: Odd Design

Don't worry about it. We have already adjusted the design for the water on this specific map for the release version sometime the past 6 months.

Re: Rolling on the left side

Typical problem of keyboard ghosting and nothing we can fix in software (this is not a bug, but a limitation in your hardware). See https://geekdroids.com/keyboard-ghosting-explained/ for an explanation.

Re: Broken Map Script Thing

The first code contains syntax errors. Ask the author of the code to fix said problems. I would have written it something like this: public void cot1(TriggerArgs args) { if (args.Sender is IPlayer) { IPlayer plr = (IPlayer)args.Sender; IObjectPlayerProfileInfo objProfileInfo = Game.GetSingleObjectBy...

Re: Styles Idea

Texture replacement (which we do not officially support) only works on the client-side. Everyone else will always have their original textures. Texture replacements (if you happened to get one) should always be of the same dimensions as the original texture to avoid problems.

Re: Steam Workshop Idea

We will look into the workshop part of SFD for maps and extension scripts once we have the beta running, leaving us some time to tinker with that.

Some events in that video were by design.

Despite some flaws in SFD I hope you enjoy playing it :)

Re: Map Editor - Screen Flicker [Help]

Then I have no clue what your specific problem is. Could be that the map editor is double buffered and somehow it doesn't work correctly with your specific computer, hardware and drivers. My last idea is that you should try toggling your VSYNC settings to on / off and see if it helps in the map edit...

Status Update 2018-08-06

We're making good progress preparing the game for the beta testing. I haven't worked on the bots the past three weeks now but there have been plenty of other things to do anyway. Everything from default settings for new players to new tiles and triggers. We will lack some features during the beta te...

Re: Map Editor - Screen Flicker [Help]

Does the problem start right away when you open the editor?
Does the problem persist after the list over objects have been updated with small icons? The small icons show up after some waiting.
Does the problem go away if you resize the editor view slightly?

Re: Map Editor - Screen Flicker [Help]

You could try to reinstall/repair all required software for the game to run properly. See https://mythologicinteractiveforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=10. If that doesn't help you need to provide a lot more details about how the black screen "keeps popping up every second". You could also try to dis...

Re: Selecting custom map bug

That specific map you link to is a template map (will say "Template: Yes" if you double-click on it) - they only show up in the map editor. You need to save it as a non-template map by opening it in the map editor and select "Save As Map". Template maps purpose is to be some kind of experiment playg...

Re: Selecting custom map bug

Only all non-template maps show up. You also need to restart the game if you download new maps (or move around map files) for them to show up correctly.

Re: Item's trouble with command trigger.

Everything is by design as far as I can tell. The MoveToPosition command only registers a position to move to. In this case you have selected the suitcase as a position. Whatever happens to the suitcase, whether it is moved or destroyed or picked up, the MoveToPosition command will move the player t...

Re: Facility Elevator Bug(Reported by kazy)

The diving is a separate issue. The issue here is that you can start ledge-grabbing on edges you normally can't hang onto - so some adjustments are in place at some point.

Re: Jump cancelling bug

This can be done in the map editor too. This is an old problem which I have no solution for because as far as I know it's the box2D engine resolving overlap between the player and the objects causing this problem. The time I have spent investigating this in the past has led me to the box2D engine it...
