We have not made any changes to the control scheme when it comes to 2 players. We do not recommend 2 players sharing the same keyboard as you most likely will run into keyboard ghosting and SFD uses a bunch of keys. The second player should use a gamepad of some kind. Creating a campaign map will be a bit of a puzzle to get a design that works well with spawning and despawning areas as you move forward to create the illusion of a bid map. I don't know if you're in the installation process of SFD or trying to update the game using the launcher.
I assume you're trying to install the game. Try to right-click and choose run as administrator on the setup.exe file.

Playing over WiFi or cable doesn't matter as long as the router can provide enough throughput.

By default the camera will always try to focus yourself and any other players. We have already adjusted a few things to the camera we have noticed ourselves. As we prioritize local multiplayer individual cameras on the client-side will not be a thing (we don't intend to create split-screen either). ...

Fixed after Beta 1.0.2c. The idea was that the sprint should be a visual-only animation but turned out to block certain actions like drawing your weapon, entering throwing mode, hip fire, reloading and more. So the sprint animation will only show as long as you're not doing anything else but running...

Fixed after Beta v1.0.2c. Thanks for the report and demo map. The only way to work around it right now is to re-create the weldJoint in the ScriptAPI once you remove something. For the campaigns to work we need to continue working on the bots.

GamePad support will not affect the ScritAPI in SFD as you can't read keybindings for individual users.
