Minor hotfix update for 1.2.0g released * Fixed a crash related to bots not handling disposed objects properly during grab and while shooting with certain types of weapons. Re: Low-detail Police Station

Keep in mind that all background tiles can be interacted with via the ScriptAPI or other triggers/markers in the map. For the most part I think it's OK to simply remove all tiles starting with "Bg" if you really need to but some maps might break so keep that in mind. For best result I suggest you cr...

Re: LAN auto-kick (Using Hamachi)

We do not support Hamachi or other virtual LAN adapters - if they work for you that's great but nothing we support. If those kind of solutions simply doesn't work - try to disable them. It can also be as simple as you must use the "Connect To IP" option if you're using a virtual LAN adapter in order...

Re: LAN auto-kick (Using Hamachi)

Check your firewall rules, anti-virus programs and try to disable Hamachi when playing SFD.

Re: [Scripting] Game crashes if you attempt to implement extension methods

The crash will be fixed after v.1.2.0g and you will correctly see the compilation error "CS1106 Extension method must be defined in a non-generic static class". For extensions in the ScriptAPI: You can't defined your own top-level static class in SFD today and therefor you can't create extension. I'...

Re: Status Update 2019-06-04 + 1.2.0f bugs :(

The next update "v.1.2.0g" is mostly ready and we will release it tomorrow if everything goes as planned. It will include a bunch of fixes to the bots as well as the bugs introduced in the "v.1.2.0f" update.

Re: Jump attack sometimes makes you tumble

Hjarpe and I discussed the jump attack making players tumble even when blocking in the air. It's old code from several years ago and we don't remember the full intent of the decisions back then. As it feels inconsistent and buggy that you may (or may not) tumble in the air after blocking (depending ...

Re: Bots juggling power weapons

Fixed after v.1.2.0f by changing the way bots decide when to swap out a gun for another gun. So they might have a slight different preference which weapon to grab but that's OK as it fixes this bug.

Re: Objects Hitting At Low Speed

Fixed after v.1.2.0f This was introduced in the v.1.2.0f update when fixing the thrown item damage inconsistency :( That's what you get for adjusting a few things in box2D events. To download this fix already (if you're brave and can't wait for the real release) see https://mythologicinteractiveforu...

Status Update 2019-06-04

We're still working on the 1.3.0 update including the next campaign and some new tools. Meanwhile we will continue to release bug fix updates to the current version 1.2.0. The most recent one 1.2.0f included this: "Fixed a bug where thrown items could deal less damage than intended if they passed th...

Re: Objects falling through plats

Make sure to download the hotfix we released an hour after 1.2.0f. Thrown items can still pass through platforms as a side-effect of another bug fix in 1.2.0f related to platforms and thrown items which I will look closer into the coming days. The damage on thrown items should be fine now though. No...

Moved the spawn point to a fixed location after v.1.2.0e - to avoid players spawning in the helicopter in the first place during spawning to avoid players potentially sliding off or be misaligned in case of high ping.

Re: Bots can't figure out if a chainsaw has no gas left

Fixed after v.1.2.0e.
After checking the existing code that makes bots drop chainsaws with no fuel left it turns out that the bot can be interrupted while trying to drop the chainsaw (in case they get hit for example) causing them to fail. This is probably what happened to you.

Re: Thrown shurikens have a "hilt hit".

Thanks for the extra information about platforms and the pictures :) It really helps. Turns out that if a thrown item overlap platforms for a certain time they do go into a lesser damaging state. We basically have 3 damaging states for thrown items. The full one if the item hasn't hit anything, a le...

Re: How 2 players can play on one computer?

If you're sharing the same computer I strongly recommend that at least one of you use a gamepad to avoid keyboard ghosting. If you have two computers you can play in a local network. One of you create a private game and the other one join by IP (local network IP). With networking you must also make ...

Re: Contest mode discussion

Perhaps you could introduce different cooldown times for different amounts of players? Longer cooldowns can be viable when there are a lot of players in the server, I'd suggest a base cooldown of 5 seconds for up to 3 players, increasing one second up to 10 seconds for 10 players. The seriatim cool...

Re: Thrown shurikens have a "hilt hit".

There's no "hilt hit" damange system in SFD. If any thrown item (bottles, chairs, machetes, katans, guns etc...) hits anything solid it will lose it's thrown state property and go into a lesser damaging state. It's most likely it hit something on the way or clipped something or you're trying to thro...
