Yea this is the reason. Either tell host to open ICMP port on their router (wonder how many people know and will do it even though it's easier than port forward) or modify the game to use TCP/UDP ping which is why you can see the ping in the game.

Is it possible to switch the ping method from ICMP to TCP? Most routers block ICMP incoming packet at firewall by default which means the server's latency is not shown in the lobby. Taking 10 seconds to join a server then quit because high latency is annoying.

Dunno what changed but today at first i was lagging hard in my servers even though ping is single digit. Then in the afternoon everything works fine now.

Disconnection in LAN server
I host servers on one computer and play SFD on another one. Both are in my local network. After about 30 seconds, the game will be disconnected from the server. Server log just says disconnection. Both joining through the lobby and using the connect by IP option are affected by this bug.

Great update. Love the new sound effect for the dark shotgun. IMO one of the most important issues right now is the lack of servers. The game should have some sort of incentive to encourage people to host especially when there is no official servers.

Can we do something about pirated copy? The fact that pirated copy can still join online multiplayer is actively encouraging people to pirate. There are people who bought from steam but use pirated one instead to get around kick/ban.

Me too. Before the paid version, the dedicated server is really unstable. After the update, so far my servers have not crashed yet for 2 days which is unbelievable to me. Next year I probably can host 24/7/365 once I move to new place. Also gonna get more upload bandwidth for hosting. My server cra...

Starting Server with Batch File Requires dll
Starting dedicated servers with batch file will result in an error pop up saying "Unable to locate Nuclex.Input.dll at batch file's directory. Make sure no other process is using the resource and try again." A temporary fix is copying the dll to the directory.

Multiple Dedicated Servers after Steam Release
Since steam only allows one instance open at a time, is there any way to open multiple servers? This problem also affects host who would like to play in their own dedicated server. Thanks in advance.
